Shop Until You Drop


Manchester is a fantastic place to do a spot of shopping. This vast city has a store for everything and everyone. Manchester has an abundance of different food options for all budgets. You can find everything from classy sky-high views at the famous 21 Stories to traditional Irish pub food at Waxy O’Connor’s. Marvel Street Art


The streets of Manchester are filled with beautiful art and graffiti, particularly the cities hipster Northern Quarter. Thanks to the Cities of Hope street art festival, you can find art of all forms painted beautifully across old buildings from large portraits to colourful wildlife. Be sure to check out Oldham Road, Port Street, Great Ancoats Street, Brightwell Walk and Gun Street.

Be a Book Worm


If you’re a stickler for beautiful buildings and classic books, visiting the various Manchester libraries is a must. The John Rylands library situated in Deansgate is a breath-taking piece of architecture and rich in history. Wander around the colossal building and marvel at the high ceilings and special collections. Wanting to take the kids? Then visit the Central Library which has a children’s sections as well as rare books and a café.

Magical Music Scene


Manchester is renowned for its music scene. When wandering the city centre you will come across a number of talented buskers entertaining the passing crowds. What is more, Manchester has been the starting place of many amazing musicians and bands including Oasis, The Smiths, Joy Division, Happy Mondays and many others. If you really want to get a feel for the Manchester music scene we recommend a visit to Night & Day, Peer Hat and Deaf Institute.
