Things to do on Halloween 2017

Grab your pumpkins and fancy dress outfits, because Halloween 2017 is on its way! Just over one month away till the start of autumn, now is the time to start planning your Halloween activities. Halloween 2017 has so many options to celebrate with your friends, family or colleagues.
Halloween falls every year on October 31, which is a Tuesday this year. If you fancy doing a little bit more than trick and treating with your kids, then have a look at our list of things to do this Halloween.
1. Scarefest at Alton Towers, Stoke-on-Trent
Scarefest promises to bring spooks, frights and thrills for everyone. On the 7th, 8th, 14th -15th, 20th – 31st October, the Theme Park becomes home to Halloween, allowing you to enjoy the rides in the dark plus lots of extra entertainment. 2. Vampire Pleasure Beach, Blackpool
No Halloween list would be complete without blood-sucking vampires! On the 18th October vampires are taking over Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Hordes of zombies and vampires have broken free and will be roaming around looking for victims. You will defiantly need to keep your wits up for this one.
There will be live bands playing in some areas. If you’re looking for extra frightening experience then you can try the Horror Maze where gruesome guy and ghouls are around every corner. Other things to expect are late night rides, fireworks display and a prize for the creepiest and scariest costume.
3. Scare Kingdom, Scream park, Blackburn
Scare Kingdom Scream Park returns for the ninth year of fear. It was voted the UK’s best Halloween attraction 2016 by Trip Advisor, with 2017 promising a brand new slate of scare attractions and experiences for daring families, thrill-seeking adrenaline junkie and courageous kids. The event offers guests an amazing Halloween experience by combining live scare actors and special affects across seven all new scare attractions. We’ve heard there is a clown hunter, so if that makes you quiver stay well away!

4. Murder Mystery Night, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Bristol
This event at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is perfect for friends, older families and colleagues to get together for a night of murder mystery. Do you think you could unravel the mystery? Watch as the story line unfolds, question the characters about their motives and find clues to help solve the murder. This event is only for 18+. There will be sparkling wine, a three course dinner, DJ and disco and of course a prize for the winning team.

5. Ghost Fest, Oxford Castle Unlocked, Oxford
What can be scarier than spending Halloween 2017 in a Castle?! Oxford Castle Unlocked will transform into one of the country’s major scare attractions. There are a range of family fun activities and spookier activities for the gutsy. There are ghost hunts you can try to complete overnight at the castle or take tours around the eerie venue.
6. Fright Nights, Thorpe Park, Chertsey
This year sees Thorpe Park Resort collaborating with a global horror phenomenon in anticipation of the event’s most horrifying year yet. All is yet to be revealed but this year promises new horror experiences and attractions. Fright Nights begins on 29th September and runs through 29th September – 1st Oct, 6th – 8th, 13th-15th and 20th – 31st October.
