Chinese New Year is just around the corner! The Year of the Pig will be welcomed in on 5th February thus is it time to start planning how you will celebrate. This makes a great time to get friends and family together to and join in the fun. London


London boasts the largest Chinese New Year celebrations outside of Asia. There is something for everyone to enjoy with events taking place across the West End, China Town and Trafalgar Square. The festivities include the beloved Chinese New Year Parade, dragon and lion dances, stage performances and family-friendly entertainment. There will also be lots of chances to fill up on some scrumptious traditional Chinese food – yum!

This year’s celebrations are promised to be bigger than ever! Considered to be Edinburgh’s most Chinese friendly destination, the Scottish capital will host music and dance performances, workshops and exhibitions as well as lighting up iconic buildings up in red.

Liverpool is home to Europe’s largest Chinese population and have some fantastic events lined up. The city will be hosting three days of celebrations on the 28th January and the 8th & 10th February. This year will be extra special as the city celebrates the 20th anniversary of its twinning with Shanghai. Visitors can enjoy hundreds of Chinese lanterns, street theatre, family workshops, firecrackers and projection/pyrotechnic shows.
