Ludlow has a rich history after it arguably became the first truly successful food festival in the UK. This festival prides itself on championing producers of food and drink from Ludlow and across the Welsh Marches. Hosted in the beautiful Ludlow castle and surrounding town, this food festival is a treat for the taste buds and the eyes. There is lots to do with three main stages hosting over 40 hours of Chefs demonstrations, food trails including The Sausage Trail & The Real Ale Trail, talks and of course tastings!
York Food Festival
21st September – 30th September
Held along the breath-taking streets of York City, this food festival is a must visit. It has everything from stalls showcasing local and national dishes for you to both sample and buy, to live talks and demonstrations from award winning chefs. 5th October – 21st October
Lewes Octoberfeast is more than just a food festival, it is a cause. Run by a small charity that is dedicated to supporting creative, innovative and sustainable food and drink, Lewes festival aims to help promote the importance of locally sourced products. Back for its 9th year, the festival does its amazing work with stalls showcasing the food of local producers and suppliers as well as offering workshops to get involved in, talks from Bakers and Chefs and dining events.
Foodies Festival Christmas
16th November – 18th November
If you’re a fan of getting into the Christmas spirit early and love a good live talk or demonstration from Chefs, you’ll love the Tatton Park Foodie Festival. This festival has its very own Chef’s Theatre where you can watch talks and demonstrations from many Chefs, including appearances from MasterChef winners, participants from Great British Menu, as well as Great British Bake off winners and favourite local Chefs. Recipes will also be given out so you can try it out for yourself at home. Abergavenny Food Festival really does have something for everyone, including markets to explore, tutored tasting, a drinks theatre, cooking schools, chef demos, a farmyard, topical debates, a stunning castle and so much more!
