The Hungarian capital is breathtakingly beautiful, with amazing sights and a pulsating nightlife. The city if famous for its ruin pubs and bars, underground hidden courtyards and thermal baths. In August many students will be flocking to the Sziget music festival. Accommodation can be under £5 per night, with food and drink being cheap too. This has the makings for the perfect student getaway.
Lisbon is the real gem of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the secret party capital of Europe, with nightlife far from low key. The cool capital has countless buzzing bars and wild clubs pumping till dawn. With bars spilling onto the street we hope you have the stamina to keep up with the pace! With plenty of nice beaches to relax and chill, there are also plenty of cheap hotels to choose from.
Now, we’re not pretending the Germany capital is some sort of hidden treasure or well-kept secret, but Berlin has to make the list for the best student holidays. A very popular destination amongst students, it is a very versatile city and has something for everyone. There are plenty of sights to see, with an incredible and famous night-life (trust me I’ve been) .
If you fancy staying in the UK for your student holidays, have a look at wonderful Brighton. You will never get bored in this eccentric lovable city. It is packed with things to do including activities as such as beach sports (both in the water an on land), to sailing and Kayaking. It doesn’t end when the sun goes down – there are theatre and comedy to live music and night clubs.
The largest city in Wales has an exhilarating mix of heavyweight cultural sights, a prolific music scene and some seriously banging nightlife. Although it’s hardly renowned as a gourmet paradise, Cardiff has some serious food places at affordable prices. A night out in Cardiff is not for the faint-hearted with Cardiffians known for partying hard – go check out Gwdihw, a retro-style café bar offering a rich programme of events.
Edinburgh is a bustling and vibrant city, steeped in history and holding a number of great festivals throughout this summer. It also boasts fascinating exhibitions and so many different events. Did I mention it has a beach?! Portobello beach has ice cream parlours, arcades and fish and chip shops.
