One Tribe Festival raises money for Green Paw Project
Published 27th Sep 2017
As you know SMC Coach Hire have pledged to support the work of Green Paw Project, an international animal welfare charity, dedicated to the welfare of animals. We continue the support by donating a percentage of our annual profit to cover the running costs of Green Paw Project.
The money donated from SMC Coach Hire helps provide veterinary care for animals all over the world. It helps stray animals by awareness campaigns within local communities and the primary objectives focusing mainly on; domestic animals, wildlife, education, teaching Malawian undergraduate vets, permaculture and nutrition.
Green Paw Project was founded by members of Audio Farm. This year Audio Farm launched the One Tribe Festival. The festival is volunteer lead and was built to create a foundation for the future of the Green Paw Project Mission Malawi.
Green Paw Project are constructing a wildlife quarantine/holding facilities, a veterinary clinic and a mobile veterinary service located in Kande (North of Malawi) where wildlife and veterinary services are needed the most. This will help save thousands of wild and domestic animals from cats, dogs, orphaned monkeys, elephants and protect wildlife Utopia. Green Paw Project have already had the land approved for this.
After starting the Malawi mission in September 2016, The Green Paw Project and the One Tribe Festival team are looking to return in October 2017 to continue the plans there, and with enough donations, the build will also be commencing then.
Everyone at the One Tribe festival did an incredible job of raising funds for the charity, a total of £4785 – which is amazing. This is however a long way off the target of £35,000, in order to get this project underway. A crowd funder has been created and if you would like to donate anything towards this project or if you simply want to know more then please click here. All of your donations go directly towards the charity, all trustees pay for their own flight and accommodations so they guarantee that all of your donation goes directly to Green Paw Project.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and has been part of this so far. Let's do everything to we can to save one of the world’s greatest thriving ecosystem and their animals from extinction.
