Nothing says Christmas quite like a Christmas pantomime, a large dose of audience participation and cries of ‘it’s behind you!’ Pantomimes are a great way to celebrate the festive season, so get in the Christmas spirit and plan a magical night out for you and the family. Here are the UK’s theatre listings of the best festive Pantomimes 2017.
This is arguably one of the most impressive pantomimes 2017 events on our list. Peter Pan is returning and it’s bigger and better than ever. The stunning new arena spectacular takes place at Wembley and promises to amaze, starring Bradley Walsh (The Chase) and Martin Kemp (EastEnders). Watch as the original story and characters are brought to life by a case of over 100 performers, including a thrilling team of BMX riders, stuntmen and even a 7m-long animatronic crocodile!

Comedy sensations Gary: Tank Commander and The Dolls lead this year’s Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime. Jack mistakenly selling the family cow for only a bag of beans, Gary (Jack’s brother) faces the wrath of his mischievous aunties (The Dolls), before finding that the ‘magic’ beans open-up an unexpected world of adventure. Come see the Beanstalk in special effects, created by one of the world’s biggest pantomime producers, Qdos Entertaintment.

This had to make our list of best UK pantomimes 2017. Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit starring Will Ferrell, ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. This one is definitely not a one to be missed as it was even listed as one of the best things to do before Christmas 2017.

A whole host of stars are joining the Birmingham Hippodrome this Christmas for Cinderella. You’ve got the likes of Hearsay Star Suzanne Shaw, Hollyoaks and Strictly Come Dancing Danny Mac and popular UK singer, Beverly Knight. Expect nothing short of brilliance as Qdos Entertainment will feature all the ingredient of the perfect pantomime.

Expect flying carpets, a wish-granting genie, an evil sorcerer and a lamp-full of laughs, so book your magic carpet ride to old Peking to the magical pantomime Aladdin! It truly features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, and plenty of boos and hisses. This Christmas pantomime features Tony Maudsley from one of ITVS most popular comedies, Benidorm.
